Pandoro are an Italian artesian bakery through and through. Setting the bar high for Wellington’s bakeries for over twenty years, Pandoro serve up an impressive array of organic bread products from three different stores within the CBD. While the ciabatta and sourdough are both superb, I highly recommend the sweeter options, such as the Brioche and vegan chocolate cake.
Our weekly place of refuge to shelter and warm up having raided the food markets on a Sunday morning. Excellent cabinet food with heaps of seating, with a clientele of mainly business types and newspaper-reading, pastry-eating foodies. Gorgeous, reasonably priced fresh bread is available to take out, but the crossiants and tarte au citron are personal favourites. Helpful service, and the best lemon-honey-ginger concoction I've had in the city.
Nom nom nom! Pandoro, either on Allen or Woodward Street is definitely the place to go for some of the best that Wellington has to offer when it comes to freshly baked goods. They have every type of bread you could want, from; ciabatta, sourdough, tramezzino, focaccia and pide right through to the divine brioche, croissants and chocolate rolls.
