NO SNOW BUT BEWARE OF BLACK ICE ON THE ROADS

A bunch of students have headed out  on a roadie  to Queenstown from Dunedin during the University holidays .But there is no snow , the ski slopes at Coronet Peak is only lined with man made snow , by using the latest snow making machines . There is snow right up in the high tops of the mountains but not at road level it is a winter thing , light snow dusting in the morning , snow gone by lunch time . Where is all this snow we here about the hills are still not covered in snow or even frost .Become a snow chaser look for the snow in your campervan .

But be careful of black ice on patches of the road that do not get sunlight  light , or near rivers where road ice can build up and stay all day . A slide on black ice or just ice on the road in your campervan , motorhome or kombi could be fatal you could loose all control of your vehicle or the person coming in the other direction could experience loss of vehicle control it happens very quickly . I lost control of my camper for about a couple of seconds , then regained control by luck so be very very careful .The incident happened a long time ago but I still clearly remember that sliding feeling on the black ice .

Do a gig but be careful on your roadie
