The staff of  " park n sleep " ,  are off to look at the size of the parking lots suitable for parking your campervan during the day in Auckland City CBD .Though there is a space listed on www.park-sleep.co.nz which is handy but only worth using if you can arrive before 9.30 am and leave by 6.59 pm [please view terms and conditions of parking lot listed at the location].

There is another parking lot in Elliot Street at the corner of Victoria Street that has a parking lot suitable for campervans this spot also has no roof or hieght restriction and is very central . Has the same early bird [before 9.30 am till 6.59 pm deal].  After 6pm street parking around Auckland city is usually free in street parking spaces , but do read the signs carefully some are pay sites till 9pm .  

It is quite hard to find parking spaces without low roofs in which to park your campervan .Day time parking in the street around Auckland City is about $4.00 per hour and $2.00 on Sunday .Though on Sunday the furhter you are out there is a good chance that the strret parking is free all day ,so read the sign carefully .

Another alternative is to park in a busy location ,not a quite street as if you are going to sleep in the campervan .But a busy street where passers by can see your van .Then catch a Auckland City Maxx bus to the venue .But please check bus clearway signs .  Check the Link Bus Service from Maxx from for example Parnel , Mt Eden or Ponsonby ,park your camper in a street with lots of traffic and people around and take your valuables .

MAKE A NOTE OF THIS : Grafton Bridge is closed to private traffic , vans , cars and campervans during the week and at odd hours so when approaching Grafton Bridge watch out for the red traffic signal above the road .This will indicate that it is closed for private traffic .This over head traffic sign is unusual for New Zealand and is not seen often so be careful and watch out before using Grafton bridge Auckland City .. 

So keep posted we are going to find out if there is a place at or near the casino in Auckland . 

Another Tournament parking site is located in Elliot Street with a similar deal as can be viewed on the left hand side of this article .

Alternatively Devonport is close to Auckland City and a return fare is about $11.00 each , but using this option , park well away from the township check parking signs , further along the waterfront on King Edward Parade should be OK .Make sure you pick a place with high exposure , that is lots of passing traffic and take your passport etc with you .
