From Auckland take the Northern Motorway for about 16 and a half miles , take the Oteha Valley turn off -ramp .Turn right follow the Oteha Valley Road to the traffic lights . Go straight a head to Carlisle Road follow the signs to Long Bay .

Long Bay is a major summer holiday destination and offers

campervan and motorhome dump station , showers [cold] toilets fresh water and wheel chair access .

There are no designated campervan or motorhome camp sites , but campervans and motorhomes can park for up to two nights for a small charge .

Very nice and vey recommended . Very good nature , clean sand and bush surrounds reasonably safe .

Plenty of room for a good game of cricket or rugby .
