4/ Tirau please check the GPS for the location lattitude -37.94318331 longtitude 175.7565 this is a rst area only but parking over night with grey water storage certificate is allowed .This rest area is on State Highway 27 ,this location will soon appear on www.park-sleep.co.nz

5/Tirau Oxford Hotel 8 Main Road Matamata, phone 07 8831858  this is another good old New Zealand Hotel that allows campervans and motorhomes to park over night in their park lot free or low cost as usual check at the bar.

[ do not forget the Napier Taupo Highway Hotel and cafe that offers the same generous offer for free , a small charge is made for power and shower usage .

well there are a number of over night parking spaces available for over night stay , but remember you still have to have a self contained vehicle to stay at these places so ask if indoubt .
