Penray Gardens are a Pick Your Own orchard that is hugely popular over the summer months for strawberries and plums.

Located in Otaki just a short drive from Wellington, they are often picked out during the strawberry season so get in quick.

They are also home to the delicious "Chilli Patch" preserves which are the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

Dropped in here on our way back to Auckland to get some summery supplies for the trip home. I've heard they get pretty busy in the summer months so we're stoked we could get our fruity fill! Had enough leftover to freeze for later too. Mucho recommendo.
