Great food and service and they are very pet friendly. It’s a wonderful place to be on a sunny day.

This cafe is one of my favourite places to sit and relax in Wellington. At the bottom of the Botanical Gardens, overlooking the rose garden, it is a beautiful place for a cup of tea. I suggest you catch the cable car to the top of the Botans and walk your way down. Its the ideal combination of exercise and relaxation! Inside there is a wild, greenhouse full to the brim of a variety of flowers and plants. Bring your camera because this is certainly photo op!

Located within the Botanic Gardens, this cute cafe is the perfect place to enjoy a pot of tea while looking out at the rose garden. They also have amazing scones and soups that change daily. When it's warm you can dine al fresco at the outdoor tables. While you're waiting for your food take a peak at all the flora within the adjacent Begonia House Foyer. #cafetab

It’s right by my house, always tasty and the staff are so friendly! I go here heaps in summer while in the Botans sunning myself. I recommend the date scones!

Great brunches and a lovely spacious outdoor area next to the rose garden where you can enjoy them! They’ve also got a top notch barista - a really friendly guy and the coffee’s ace too. All in all, a yum place to enjoy the sun.

As an outsider used to the hustle and bustle of the frantic pace of city life in the UK, Wellington is a serene slice of urban heaven. Gorgeous, accessible coastline coupled with green, inner city sanctuaries make this a desirable place to live. Escaping the occasional urban blues is easy in Wellington, with the Botanical Gardens on our doorstep. Picnic cafe is a gorgeous little spot to relax, read a book and enjoy the company of friends.

Beautiful setting- nice to have a place to eat and also admire the beautiful roses and Wellington surroundings. Came here a bit later in the day and they were closing up shop but they had a freezer with ice cream outside. Lovely way to enjoy the summer sun. Nice staff. Great tables inside and out.
