Stunning view on the drive down, great for surfing, good bush walks nearby.

love the drive to this beach..through the Titirangi village and the roads from there to Piha is just awesome..its more of the drive i love and then crash down on the beach once you get there...great place to be

It's a bit of a drive but often it's just worth it.

A nice beach with beautiful west coast scenery in the Waitakere Ranges, climb Lion Rock to get a great view.

Perfect place to play some beach cricket! So relaxing and just beautiful.

Amazing, wild and striking beach with rolling surf and a great cafe nearby! Perfect all year around.

What a beautiful  piece of NZ. Its a must see for visitors. NZ's most iconic beach in all its glory

Young boy and his friend trying to hit the oncoming waves. It was amazing to see their love and bonding, being a completely different species altogether.

absolutely recommended , close to Auckland . A very well run camp everything you need even a nice cafe for coffe across the road , well no there are two cafes . the camp is sheltered , the camp is located on a stream withlots of bird life , not surrounded by building or highways , so quiet at night . Cabins are available so you don't need a campervan and tiis is what we like about camping grounds with cabins , after a long trip one can experience the joys of sleeping in a real bed .Listening to the waves pounding in in the distance . good one piha camping ground we love staying there  parking and sleeping nz

Piha is your answer. Just 45mins away from Auckland city, you feel like you are far far away from the concrete jungle. The beach is relaxing and it is always sunny. Visit the SLSC for an afternoon beverage, take surf lessons or visit the waterfall. I love coming to this amazing place, but watch out for the rips! Stay in between the flags!
