The most iconic landmark of Christchurch post-earthquakes, Re:START is a pretty neat place to recommend to people visiting the city. I love the colourful containers and the stylish shops.

    This bright and multi-coloured space is one of the famous symbols of the Christchurch rebuild. With an impressive array of independent shops and cafes, with Ballantynes Department Store in the heart, you will not be left disappointed.

        Re:START is a hive of activity, particularly during the summer months. Art Beat is a three month event which takes place in Re:START every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 23 February 2014. Expect to see fantastic local music, installations, performances and graffiti art.
