We spent a weekend at this beautiful little spot in November and we're already trying to squeeze in a visit in December! What a gem. The waterfront cabins are perfectly located with views to die for. It's a great place for a holiday with multiple families - book cabins next to each other, chuck the kids in bed and sit outside having a drink by the water. It's a beautifully maintained campground with lots of history and quirk. The kitchen and bathrooms and BBQ area are clean, new and in excellent working order. We absolutely loved it and will be back as soon as we can get a booking!

I have so many blissful memories from time spent here as a kid. Picture the ideal seaside cabin or camping spot and I can almost guarantee that picture would match this setting. There’s 10 cabins to choose from, most of them seaside, and all the room you could need for tenting too. They’re so family friendly, with plenty of great day activities for all to get amongst within a few minutes drive or walk from the park. Kayak or sail around the bay, fish off the Sandspit Wharf or just lay back in a hammock - the whole package makes this place a little gem.

It’s old fashioned and homely right on on the wharf and gateway to Kawau Island. Safe for kids
