Santos is definitely a contender for best coffee in Ponsonby, which is very high praise considering the massive number of cafes around the area. My go to in the neighbourhood for a perfectly made coffee.

Santos are famous for their World Cup Party atmosphere and for screening all the Brazil games. It is a fun and entertaining place to watch a Brazil game. And you an get a great breakfast and a perfect coffee to help you through an early game. I can only imagine the party atmosphere at Santos will be ramped given that Brazil are hosting the World Cup. Love this place and I'll definitely watch a Brazil game or two here.

IN the heart of Ponsonby. Santos is renowned for always serving great coffee. Sit in the outside area in the sun, something to eat, check out the art and watch Ponsonby buzz by.

I discovered this place a while back through a friend who kept talking about it. It's a Ponsonby classic with good coffee, food and service.

A Ponsonby road institution.

Santos can hold down the coffees. In fact I’ve never had a bad coffee there, perfect extraction and silky milk. I hadn’t ever eaten there before though so I figured it was about time to give the menu the once over. I opted for the haloumi salad which was delicious. I’m a big fan of the salty fried cheese and this was cooked to perfection. The light meal was just what I was after. I’m looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu to see what other delights I can discover.

I spend a lot of time in Ponsonby but hadn't stepped into Santos, unbelievably. I was drawn in by the new menu and can highly recommend the Feta Salad - lots of crispy whitlof, avocado, parsley and creamy feta with dressing on the side and a fresh ciabatta bun. The coffee was great and there was plenty of space to sit quietly in and enjoy the meal. I will be back.

Santos is an institution for me, I’ve been coming here for the coffee for almost 10 years. The only place I’ve seen that does half serve breakfasts too :)

Ponsonby Road institution Santos serves up fresh salads, snacks, juices and reportedly the best Eggs Benedict in town, and is one of my picks for a great lunch spot on a sunny day. The courtyard is bathed in warmth almost all day long and the people watching isn’t bad either!
