Scotts Beach is on the Heaphy Track, one of New Zealand's adventurous walks where the variety of landscape changes about every 20 kilometres.

The locals know that despite the beach title, Scotts is one for admiring from afar as the water might look inviting, but please do not be tempted to swim here as there are dangerous currents and undertow.

For amazing views and seascapes, visit Scotts Beach in Karamea. The excluded beach is never busy so you’ll no doubt have the place to yourself. Great for camping or just a day trip with a packed lunch, this is a great wee beach. Take a walk on the long swing bridge or walk high up on the hill for spectacular views below.
