Sen, which means lotus flower in Vietnamese, serves up tasty street food that authentically reflects the heritage and diversity of the Vietnamese people.
Using only the freshest ingredients, Head Chef Billy Dang directs the creation of stunning and delicious dishes that bring to life the vibrancy and colour of Vietnam. Just as the lotus blossom represents purity and the journey to enlightenment, Sen seeks to give Aucklanders a unique taste of Vietnam, while remaining true to Vietnamese street food culture.
Generous in the use of fresh herbs and vegetables, Sen's dishes will please the palates of both new comers and avid fans of Vietnamese cuisine.

The CAC Bar is fantastic. The area downstairs is great for drinks after work or a meal with friends. Upstairs is a little more intimate & we had a lovely romantic meal here. The food is delicious & there was plenty of it. The drinks selection was great too, i even found a liqueur that i hadn't tasted since living in England 7 years ago. Fabulous!!

The CAC was so much more than I had expected. The food was exquisite and delicious and the portions just the right size not too stuff you too much but leave you full and satisfied. I had Gnocchi which were amazing and tried some of my friends' dished which were also very good. I liked the fact of getting complementary bread - something quite common in other countries but haven't experienced it in NZ at all. I would have loved to know more about the source of the food, especially the meat.
When I turned up here for a lunch with about 15 friends I was wondering how we would all be seated together. The sensible one in the group had booked ahead and secured us a huge table up on the mezzanine, so now worries. We all sat comfortably around the table on a variety of chairs and benches in keeping with the decor. The mezzanine looks down over the seating areas below, which happened to be rather quiet on the day, but you could appreciate the effect if the restaurant had been bustling. The service was effective (although lacking any warmth) and the food was quite good - not outstanding, but for the price, it was fine. The highlight was definitely being about to sit around a huge table together and catch up with everyone.
