This little Kingsland outfit is very serious about good food and good coffee. One of the several Shaky Isles' around Auckland, this branch is well loved as a local Sunday brunch spot, guaranteeing a great cup of coffee and an extensive menu of delicious delights to aid with your struggling morning wake-up.
They keep it simple and quirky at Shaky Isles.Their takeaway coffee cups are possibly the cutest things ever, and their hot chocolates are worth making a special trip for (Whittakers bars melting in hot milk? Yes please.)

I love Shaky Isles. It's easily one of the best cafes in Auckland - if not the whole country. The food is consistently delicious and flavourful and exciting! The coffee is always great. The staff are super friendly and fun. And the space is a great place to either chill and hang with your friends or take your laptop and do some work for an hour - plus they have FREE wifi!
I wouldn't often suggest anything slightly milky for your sad, hungover stomach but the hot chocolates at Shaky Isles is an exception. Along with one of their classic brunches you can't really go wrong. So drag yourself out of bed and head to Shaky Isles! (Even if the hot chocolate does'nt make you feel better, the adorable coffee cups surely will!)
On the hunt for a quick brunch before a Sunday morning movie date, we headed to Shaky Isles. We had often been past the little cafe but hadn't stopped in because its always so busy. But on Sunday we were in luck and secured a seat outside - perfect for people watching in the sun. We had eggs benedict (bacon for him, salmon for me) and it was amazing. Creamy hollandaise and runny poached eggs are always a winner on a Sunday. The coffee was excellent and the meals came quickly, enabling us to make the movie on time.
