This is an ideal place to take the family dog for a long walk in nature. The taupo end of the Waikato River which leads into Huka Falls enables a beautiful meandering walking track all along Spa Thermal Park. It’s a great place to join other like-minded dog-walking locals as they take their four-legged friends for their daily afternoon or morning walk. It’s also a sweet location for a tiny bit of shut-eye with your pooch under the many shaded areas.
I love the Spa Thermal Park for its awesome walking and biking tracks. I'm a big walker, and the Huka Falls Walking track in Spa Thermal Park is a popular one on my list of weekly walks. Its easy to get to from the town centre (only a few minutes drive) and is surrounded by huge open spaces and majestic pine trees.
