There’s a lot of loving going on in the kitchen and the visual delight out front is a gastronomic puzzle for indecisive taste buds, but at least be tempted with the tantalising lime meringue cupcakes filled with lime curd and topped with toasty meringue.

    Yum yum yum! Spongedrop is like Grandma's pantry on steroids. It jam-packed with an amazing array of delicious baked treats. The baker got her start at one of my other fav Tauranga hot spots The Little Big Markets and has now expanded to her own little bakery and cafe. Pop in now and spoil yourself with a cupcake and a coffee.

      The owner of this amazing bakery is local lass Danielle Cubis who makes AMAZING cupcakes, meringues, cakes - and probably a whole lot of other baked goods. She recently opened her cakery on Salisbury Ave (the road that heads to Pilot Bay) in Mount Maunganui. It’s the perfect place to call in for a coffee and cupcake before a stroll along the new boardwalk.
