Sri Pinang, on Auckland's K'Road, has been standing proud on that spot for more than two decades - not a small feat in Auckland's ever-changing restaurant scene.

The secret to their success lies in the unbeatable combination of delicious Malaysian specialities (their chicken with plum sauce and the beef rendang are a must-try), fantastic prices, warm and welcoming service, and BYO at $1 per person. It's no wonder that this place is bustling with diners every day of the week! Booking is highly recommended, especially for weekend evenings.

The best Malaysian in Auckland. Love this place.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. The roti are the best I've ever eaten. My favourites are the Beef Rendang and the Chicken Curry. Angela, the owner, is awesome too! I couldn't recommend it more highly!

This is the best value curry in k road, is also byo. Is often full at wknd but worth a wait.

Sri Panang lunch

As well as being LOVELY, the good folk at Sri Pinang serve up very tasty Malaysian fare, at very palatable prices. Especially at lunchtime - $8 for a roti curry, are you kidding me?! The curry's great, and that roti. It's flakey, buttery and awesome. Served with complimentary tea. Ka pai.

I love Sri Pinang! The dinner menu is better than the lunch. My picks are the Beef Rendang, Sambal Okra and Tamarind Everything. If in doubt ask the friendly staff, they have plenty of good tips.

Sri Pinang can be found at the “wrong” end of iconic Karangahape Road, but don’t let that put you off a visit to this incredibly popular location serving up perfect Malaysian cuisine. Loyal customers have been coming back for years for a weekly fix of their beef rendang curry or nasi lemak with good reason.

This is a small Malaysian restaurant located in kroad. You can find off street parking. The food is very nice and tastes hot and fresh.  The menu is hard to understand as it has Malaysian names and no description in English as to what it has in it.  But the customer service is very good and they can explain all the items without rushing you to order.  the shop size is small but has delicious food.  If coming in a group booking recommended.

Hmm just did a takeaway of Indian fried noodles… It tastes delicious :) the service was good as always. They have a new waiter now… The nice lady who was there is not there today but the new guy is nice as well. Loving the noodles :)
