Great fresh food. Staff friendly and welcoming. Love the chicken fried rice with saldted fish

Food and staff are always great when ever we visit.  Rather than take away tonight we decided to drop in for dinner after our evening out visiting the home show.  As always the place was busy but there was a table which was just being cleared.  Hubby opted for a curry and I opted for one of the chinese dishes to which i was tempted by the photo on the wall.  Hubby's curry arrived quite quickly, steaming hot and looking tasty.  Had to a wait for mine which was a bit unfortunate, when it arrived was good but didn't quite live up to what I was expecting.  This was the first time on a visit to Sri Puteri's when I've strayed from the Malaysian Mamak Cuisine for which it is known for, I think next visit I will stick to the Mamak cuisine, its the best!

Sri Puteri's is a well-known Mamak restaurant in Panmure. To start off, try Jay's Malaysian chicken satay ($8) which comes with cubed ketupat (coconut rice cake), and Seelan's cocnut butter prawns ($12) which is cooked in garlic, curry leaves and coconut flakes. The sting ray asam pedas (spicy tamarind curry) with rice and vegetables ($15.50) is fantastic. The sting ray is sweet and tender, in a rich, spicy, sweet and sour gravy cooked with pineapple, tomatoes and okra. Delicious! They also serve Malaysian desserts, - try the Ice Kacang or Cendol, which make a great finish to the meal. This is a popular place, and sometimes the service is a bit slow due to the crowds. However, be patient, and you'll be well rewarded.

Not your most glamourous of restaurants but what it lacks in looks makes up for big time in the service and quality of food you will eat.  Your tastebuds will tantalised by Kaiai creations.  Every day Kalai makes everything fresh, from the Roti's to the flavoursome sauces.  She will happily chat with you and share some of her secrets.   You will be amazed on the good value, nothing on the menu is over $15.

Sri Puteri is the ultimate family restaurant. The wonderful lady owner ropes whoever she can in as wait staff; I love it, it adds to the charm! Amazing Malaysian food, we try to order something new every time and it's always good. I'd tell you to go here but I don't want to struggle to get a table
