The Stamford is a 5 star hotel for those wishing to indulge in a bit of luxury. When you walk into the hotel you immediately wish/expect you were attending a ball in a floor length gown. It is elegantly and lavishly decorated and definitely worth the 5 stars it holds. The bedroom prices vary from what type of room you get and what dates you book, the prices go up and down dramatically based on these just like any other hotel I guess. There are also packages you can buy to enhance your stay such as a romance package that includes a late check out and other cute deals like that.

    Had a lovely night here the bed was huge and it was prefect size for us. The staff were lovely highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for the great stay

      Went here for the Michael Meredith high tea using my grabone voucher - $50 for two people. The savouries were nice - mini salmon bagel, curry puff, beef sandwich. The dessert was nice but I thought it could have been better. The truffle and macaron was yum though

        Fab brunch or afternoon tea with sisters? This is the choice! Nice setting area and great comfortable space

          Finaly got around to try the high tea at stamford hotel. The tea I chose had an alluring name “Paris”. How could I pass that up?! Though it may look like the portions arent that generous but it really did fill me up. My fave was the fluffy scones and eclairs. Was I blown away by the taste? Not really but it was nonetheless a satisfying experience.

            I booked for the night on the town special, it was totally worth every penny! I had a wonderful room - with a massive bed and an awesome bath! The free cocktails were thoroughly enjoyed and the buffet breakfast in the morning was the best I had ever experienced! I even saw the Mayor of Auckland there - feasting on some of the delicious breakfast foods provided.

              Great place to stay, workout and eat! 

                Fresh strawberries, macaroons, mango, ice cream and sugar!!! Mmmmm

                  Nice atmosphere and live classical music, delicious food and friendly service.

                    Really lovely place to stay. The rooms are very well presented and has really comfortable bedding. I have stayed here a few times now, and each time has been great. They also provide lovely warm robes and complimentary slippers. On one occasion staying here with a few friends, we ordered the high tea. We were very dissapointed with it...for $75 for 3 people, we didnt get much food at all. I have been to another  5 start hotel, which also does high tea, where it was refilled to make sure it fed 3 people. The buffet breakfast however, was pretty great.
