The food is fresh and delicious. I love the seafood noodles!

I go here regularly with my family and love this place! I have been to quite a few yum char places in Auckland and especially around town but nothing compares to the open spaced atmosphere like Star Cafe. The yum char food is GREAT and the service is friendly. It's a nice alternative to the usual Sunday cafe brunch where you can try a variety of little dishes of tasty food and sip hot jasmine tea. My kiwi friends love this place too now. Would recommend to all!!

love this place, go all the time, always fresh, hot and fast. they know us quite well now and get us a tsingtao (yummy chinese beer) straight away. We always request our favourites and get them. A regular meting place for family and friends, booking really necessary especially on weekends.. :) love it.

Having eaten at a variety of yum cha restaurants around Auckland i can confidently say that Star Cafe rates the highest. Not only is the food delicious but the service is very friendly and helpful. I've seen people queuing out the door on weekends for the lunchtime rush so if you have a group make sure you book ahead!

We celebrated a friends birthday here a couple of weeks ago. It was my first visit some of the others had been before. Bookings are essential on a Sunday lunchtime it was buzzing. Having Asian friends in the party made it easy to work out what we were eating. Everything was hot and tasty, lots of back ground noise but I guess thats par for the course in an Asian restaurant popular with the local Asian community.
