Suite Bar

This sophisticated little bar on Hobson Street was apparently named by Metro Magazine as the 2009 winner ‘Best Cocktails’. The menu is very creative and all the drinks have cool-sounding names. You won’t find any watered-down slushy drinks here! Nothing but class in a glass.

I had never heard of this place until I got invited to a friends birthday party here. It was a really good night as we got the one side of the bar to ourselves with a long table, really yummy punch and some seriously delicious pizzas. This place rolls classy, intimate and thriving all into one. On the other side of the bar is a dance floor so whether you are looking for a chilled out drink or for a raging boogie they have it sorted for you!  

So I was fortunate enough to end up here on Friday night with the work mates to bring St Paddy's day in true Irish style: drinking Irish whiskey with Irish bartenders! So much fun, great dancing music, great atmosphere. These guys were troopers considering the madding crowd and we all had an excellent time. I've only ever ended up here at the end of a night out with hospo people, but it is sort of that kind of place. Works for me!

I had my 30th Birthday here a few weekends ago with 70-80 friends and had the most amazing time. We were extremely well looked after, from fabulous cocktails to weird and interesting beers. The staff down at Suite know how to make sure everyone has a good time. They are interactive, fun, yet professional to say the least.  The food was also outstanding. We asked them to cater for the whole party and were treated to gourmet pizzas, antipasto platters, various types of bruschetta, and other snacks all for a very reasonable cost.  I definitely recommend Suite for all private functions. Me and a few friends went to Suite for the first time the other night after hearing about it from friends. We were planning on having one drink, but the friendly and engaging staff, the amazing cocktails, and delicious pizzas meant we ended up staying for hours. 

These guys have a s#!+ ton of liquor, and can make any cocktail you could possibly ask for. Spent $100 on brazil cachaca liquor caprinha served in a scorpion bowl. Epic!

Went to a good mate's leaving party last night at Suite Bar. We luckily found some free street parking which is always a bonus. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a jolly group of guys smoking outside, no bouncer with attitude and in we go. Inside was a cozy intimate environment, downstairs. It doesn't feel cramp or claustrophobic. The bar table is pure white and sits all around the bar. There's also some leather booth seats all around. Drinks are standard affair. I did like how clean everything felt. You can see the barman taking pride by constantly wiping down the bar bench after every drink they serve. The place smelt nice and clean.
