The pride and joy of the North Shore - Takapuna Beach sums up everything it means to have a Kiwi summer.

A beautiful view out to Rangitoto island, a deep blue sea and long stretch of white sand make this place a local hotspot.

Only seconds away from the Takapuna shops and ice cream - it is a haven for swimming, walking, sunbathing, socialising or just chilling.

    A great place to relax and free your mind and the puppies like it, too :)

      After an excellent meal at Mexico or the Commons, rug up and stroll down to Takapuna Beach for a romantic walk along the shore line, even in Winter it's such a beautiful spot (assuming it's not blowing a gale)

        On a sunny day Takapuna Beach is a great place for sunbathing or walking the dog, but during the winter months it’s also a great destination for a brisk walk or to explore the rock pools. We love the ones by the famous Petrified Forest and close to Takapuna Beach Cafe, where you can pop in for an order of fresh fish and chips to enjoy in the winter sun.

          Not far from the city, this dog-friendly beach is a long stretch of white sand. Much of the beach is lined with grass banks as opposed to buildings, which is really pleasant. Outside of day-light-saving hours, dogs are welcome any hour of the day and the long beach makes for great exercise ground! People are very friendly round here, particularly amongst fellow dog-walkers! With the shops close-by and amazing house-made gelato on offer at the Takapuna Beach Café, this is a great location to escape the hustle bustle and feel the sand under your feetsies!

            This beach was bustling today, Bustling with not only beach walkers, stand up paddle boarders and picnickers, but DOGS, lots and lots of pooches have a blast with the other dogs, Very cute 

              Located close to the North Shore end of Auckland's Harbour Bridge, Takapuna Beach is a sprawling city beach with lots of shade and space to gather friends and family. Close also to Takapuna's shopping district, it's a great option when the sun's shining and you want to get to the beach fast. Do yourself a favour and drop by Takapuna Beach Café and Store while you're there. Delicious!

The close location to the Strand and the nonealcoholic cafe at the beach are wondefful place to stop and relax and on a long motorhome holiday through New Zealand campervan and motorhome travellers can chill out before leaving on another leg of the journey .Or they can rest before heading out recovering from that 24 -36 hour airline flight that we are all used too Cheers to the Takapuna Beach Holiday Camp on The Strand Takapuna .

                    Great local beach. Very long beach- with good grass bank - tall shady trees, lots of sitting space, public toilets and seating/tables available. Great walk/run option. Lots of dogs. Parking available- mostly pay& display. Has cafe at one end- good one. One of faves.
