Takapuna Shoe Repairs

Probably this is the worst service I ever had with any shoe/bag repair shops. My camera bag zipper needs to be replaced. So I took my bag to this guy on 12/06/2017 for quotation. He quoted me $50 and come back next week Thursday (22/06/2017) to pick up. -I gave him a go ahead. He never got back to me on time, so I chased him up on following Monday (19/06/2017). On Monday, he (the owner) said not even started so come back next Monday. Again he did not get back to me by Monday 26th June. Today (27/06/2016), got the text message from him to pick up the bag. At the pick up he asked me to pay $75. not $50 as he originally quoted. I asked him the reason for the price difference but all he says '75 dollar was the original quote, I didn't give to you but I wrote it somewhere' He never shows me the quotation paper that he wrote 'somewhere' but I clearly remember, he said & wrote $50 on the quotation paper. Otherwise I wouldn't give him to fix the job He left me with no option but paying him. After the paid him I inspect the bag. And it gets even worse - He did the very poor fixing job on the bag. There are bits of glue marks everywhere on the bag inside - out, and straps etc. Sewing works are not straight and even, it looks like fixed by a kinder garden child. I wasted two weeks and $75 for a very poorly fixed bag. He definitely lacks craftsmanship and no concept of keeping timeframe with his customer. If you planning to 467 Lake Road SHOE REPAIR SHOP, take extra caution and try document/photograph everything. Otherwise, this fraud will bump up the quotation for sure!
