This park is one of my spiritual homes - it's where I come every year with my best mates to party up a storm at New Zealand's favourite summer festivals, Splore. I love the fact that you can swim in the ocean while watching live music (often local) on the main stage. But when Splore's good going session ends, this is also a gem of a regional park in the Clevedon Coast region that you can overnight camp in. It's a great pitstop after Auckland airport and one of the most picturesque beaches, just a stone's throw from South Auckland.
