Taste of Asia is a popular Thai restaurant located in Mount Maunganui. With tables inside and out , their talented chefs have been hand picked from Thailand and have created a delicious menu of Thai favourites and regional specialities.

Suitable for large groups and with a wine list, BYO option and a takeaway menu available, regular customers rave about the Steamed Fish Ma-nao (a whole fish steamed with ginger, lemongrass, kaffir and lime leaves) and the Gang Keow Wan (a green curry with coconut milk, chilli, vegetables and your choice of meat).

Right on The Mount’s main street this Thai restaurant has a diverse and extensive takeaway menu, which crosses borders into Vietnam, Malaysia and China. I can’t go past Thai garlic spinach prawns followed by steamed whole snapper Ma-nao done to perfection with ginger, lemon grass and kaffir lime.
