Te Manai Organics is run by Jeremy Howden on his farm just outside Masterton. Having grown up on a sheep and beef farm, he tried a variety of careers and completed his OE before returning home to NZ. Seeing a gap in the market for fresh produce grown in the Wairarapa region, he initially started a bean sprout business on his fathers farm before moving to his own farm and diversifying into numerous other vegetables.
Free of pesticides and grown using biodynamic principles, you can find his delicious produce in restaurants, specialty ingredient stores and the popular Hill Street farmers market.

For fresh, flavoursome vegetables, this farm offers sprouts, snow peas and fennel bulbs to the common broccoli and pumpkin. Organic vegetables are thought to contain on average higher levels of vitamin C, essential minerals and antioxidants and they are also free from pesticide used at conventional farms.
