It is our local Public Art Gallery. A wee gem hidden away in Pakuranga. They have amazing international and national artists showing there, right at our doorstep. It’s a wonderful place to visit. It also has easy parking and great coffee.

Te Tuhi is a space that has hosted an amazing array of contemporary exhibitions but still manages to distance itself from the swanky art vibe which can be off putting to the wider community. Not only is their main gallery space accessible to the general public but they pride themselves in creating a space which encourages community participation and engagement. This is a community space with heart and soul, this is what a centre for the arts is all about.

Manukau City's public art gallery, Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts, is a huge space that includes multiple shows and a great café. It plays host to changing exhibitions, classes, school holiday programmes and more.

This centre for the arts is amazing. So many diffent classes, art, sculpting, dancing even team building. I think there are about 5 studios that are spacious and well laid out. Everybody is very friendly and art is displayed on the wall. I think this is the perfect place for artistic minds to mix and mingle. I also know one of the gentlemen who doesthe cleaning at te tuhi, and I would like to add that he does a wonderful job!!!

The exhibitions held here are extremely difficult and somewhat disturbing, which is why I find it such an amazing gallery. The Nollywood exhibition they held was by far my favorite. I especially love the Michael Parekowhai sculpture located in the front.

You are so right!! The sculpture is amazing!

My son went on a school trip here. The class were taken on a tour of the latest exhibition and then did arts and crafts. I thought it was a great morning and it's terrific to have a centre like this on our doorstep. Plus the coffee and nibbles are fantastic in the little cafe - awesome home baking.

A beautiful gallery consisting of a variety of median's and contempary art works . The in-house cafe was featured in the Metro's top Auckland cafes 2011 and proves it with their fabulous flat whites.

Great little coffee bar in the centre.  Check out the evening classes whilst you are there.
