A fantastic Newmarket cafe much-loved by locals, Teed Street Larder is an institution in this part of town and known for serving up some of the best pies, sandwiches and coffee in Auckland. I love their organic Three Beans coffee - this is the place to come for a super-smooth flat white that gives you a decent caffeine kick.
With an and spacious dining room and a sun drenched courtyard, teed st larder oozes comfort and ease, the perfect place to prepare for a shop in the busy streets of Newmarket. The staff and friendly and it’s a get to know you kind of place where they remember your order. It also helps that they use three beans to brew some of the best coffee in Auckland
Nice location to people watch, in the heart of Newmarket. We didn't plan to make a stop here but my friend had been there before and said that the coffee was good. I wasn't really craving my usual caffeine hit, so decided to try a freshly made juice instead. As there were no prices for these on their massive blackboard, I was kinda stunned when they told me that my carrot and ginger juice, would be $8! Ekk. I was thinking, ok that is pricey and yes, I am in the heart of Newmarket, but surly this would be a decent glass? Boy, was I wrong. When the juice finally appeared (about 5-7mins after ordering, which is good) it was just in a standard glass and didn't look like much at all. In the end I couldn't finish it, as it tasted like they had blended up a whole root of ginger, major overload...yuck! Will be back to try the coffee and the service was good but yeah, don't think I shall be trying the juice again.
