The Beach Hut is a tropical gem on Punakaiki Beach. This little restaurant really encapsulates everything we love about the Kiwi summer. A literal hut right on the sand with picnic tables surrounding, you'll feel very summery while chowing down on your fish and chips.

Being that The Beach Hut is exactly that, a hut on the beach, try and visit during the warmer months. Though the food is worth braving the cold, maybe just bring a blanket!

The fish and chips at The Beach Hut Restaurant are to die-for. Probably the best time of the year to dine here is during the warm months, but feel free to brave this restaurant in the winter if you dare! I could quite happily say that these were the best fish and chips I ever had. Thanks TBHR!
