Pork Belly Buns. ‘Nuff said.

Best service

The Blue Breeze Inn is the perfect fusion of Pacifica and Chinese. The two cultures work together to offer tasteful dishes -especially the crispy pork steamed buns! The whole restaurant is an experience, with the extravagant inside decor and the chirpy waiters, a visit to The Blue Breeze Inn is bound to brighten your day. If it's sunny you can sit outside and watch the world go by and if its a little cooler the waiters are sure to offer you a blanket to snuggle up. This restaurant has an atmosphere like no other and must be experienced!

Went here for dinner on Sat night. Simply amazing! From the sumptuous authentic food to the impeccable service, top marks all round. Masterchef judge and owner Mark Walbank was even there at the end to greet us.

Beautiful food, amazing service and atmosphere. The place is beautifully designed and you feel like you are in a place in Tailand or something like that...

Great food

Great cocktails. Everyone raves about the pork dumpling, personally I prefer their chicken dishes.

All my friends that live out of town, when they come to Auckland I take them to Blue Breeze and every single one of them loves it! The place is beautiful and the food exquisite, but the staff make the place. They are always willing to have a laugh and to make us feel at home. LOVE it!

When I knew I was meeting one of Localist's regional writers in Ponsonby for an afternoon drink, I decided the moment was right for dumplings and a glass of local wine at The Blue Breeze Inn. Although it was the first time Jason and I had met, we got along like a house on fire, no doubt thanks not only to our shared passion for loving local but also because of the excellent fried chicken dumplings and steamed pork and truffle dumplings that we consumed with gusto. There was hardly anyone in the popular Ponsonby Rd restaurant on a Thursday afternoon, making it the perfect spot to sit in the sun and enjoy a chat about local fashion, food and Localist!

There are so many dishes that delight my senses at The Blue Breeze Inn but nothing comes close to the bang I get from the aptly named 'Bang Bang Chilli Chicken'. The traditional Chinese dish is given its name because in the Sichuan region where the recipe comes from the chicken is banged with a mallet before preparation. I love the dish for the fact it's full of spice and all things nice. And the chilli does give you a decent bang!
