The Bread and Butter Letter is a vintage and craft boutique on Karangahape Road. The shop is run by two friends, Sarah and Rose, who had such a hankering for bargain hunting and floral dresses, that they decided to make their love become a ‘dream job’. The racks of affordable vintage clothing are just the beginning! The shop also has a wide selection of craft made by local artists, gifts galore and home decor. There is literally something for every occasion, and everyone.

I am always fascinated with retro and vintage clothing and stuff, good thing I found these in New Zealand. I love shopping here. :)

    There's something about The Bread and Butter Letter that appeals to the inner child in everyone. The feeling is probably akin to waking up on a Christmas morning and opening up your presents. Situated in the heart of Karangahape Road, The Bread and Butter Letter is a home and lifestyle concept store that offers the best of New Zealand's handmade goods. You can find anything inside, from organic products to craft materials to a Jeff Goldblum art print. They make sure that they have something that each of their customers will love.

      This place is awesome! Super affordable and everything is so cute! Super friendly staff too :) Definitely coming back to pick up some more cute clothes and some great gifts!

        So so glad I wandered into this place about a year ago on one of my outings to K Rd. They have a collection of unique and adorable vintage and their own hand made dresses that don't cost more than any bigger retail clothing chain. There's also heaps of cute knick-knacks that are good gifts for birthdays or home decor!

          It might be vintage (which is awesome) but it is FRESH! These girls aren't slacking! Every week I go in my heart cries with joy and my wallet too because this week I picked up 3 dresses (1 is totally a NYE number) for $75! I might usually be poor but it's not the Bread and Butter Letters' fault! Because of them I get to be poor but look pretty awesome (sorry to blow my own horn!! haha) in their amazing finds. Keep it up girls or otherwise I will just be poor and that would suck!

            I love the attitude of the girls who started this store, and their dedication to support locally made products.
