The Bread and Butter Letter is a vintage and craft boutique on Karangahape Road. The shop is run by two friends, Sarah and Rose, who had such a hankering for bargain hunting and floral dresses, that they decided to make their love become a ‘dream job’. The racks of affordable vintage clothing are just the beginning! The shop also has a wide selection of craft made by local artists, gifts galore and home decor. There is literally something for every occasion, and everyone.

Charming boutique with unique gifts and pretty things.

    Colourful and quirky range of vintage clothes. Definitely worth a nosey and very affordable also.

      My mother LOVES to craft, so when I found this place I knew it would be a treat and a half for her birthday!

          The bread and butter letter is hip and local-focused. Jewellery, prints, stationery, tea – it’s an eclectic store and you’re likely to find the perfect gift within its walls… maybe for the person you’re shopping for, definitely for yourself. I recently bought an absolutely adorable clear, bell-shaped umbrella, and I get all excited when it rains.

              The Bread and Butter Letter have relocated to K Rd, and the new store looks great! Still stocking a tasteful array of accessories, vintage clothing and gift items, make this your go-to when you need a little something for yourself, or anyone else.

                Bread and Butter has opened on K'Rd and has literally brightened up the strip. It is a spacious and light store with colourful vintage clothing and crafts to enliven the senses. With everything from macrame plant hangers from local Thieves Like Us, vintage threads for guys and girls, candles, greeting cards, prints and sunglasses to organic tea. Pop in and say hi!

                  I am so excited that this fabulous store has come to K'Rd. The Bread and Butter letter is wickedly twee, packed with handmade local products and well curated vintage. Beware, you will covet just about everything in this store - but what a fabulous way to support local!
