The Britomart Country Club

an interesting spot but a  bit overrated. There are LOTS of other better bars in the area for a drink. It gets very packed here so probably a good place for singles to mingle. I find the bar staff basically over worked and un-friendly. I have had a nice few vinos here on a sunny afternoon earlier in the afternoon though, that maybe the key. 

We came here one wet Friday night, the service was pretty good but the waitress lacked product knowledge. The menu was limited, don’t come for a big feed, but the pizza, salad and chips we shared was great! Would come back just for that! The decor and atmosphere is awesome as :) I love this place for drinks and even on a wet windy night I would return. We didn’t get too cold or wet at all.

I really like the atmosphere of this bar, but despise the fact smoking is allowed inside.

More importantly is the availability of late night scallops!

Great place to catch some jazzy tunes and a beer. Ordered the Flemington pizza and was utterly disapointed with the lack of flavor. The fries w garlic aioli on the other hand were quite tasty.

Sit in the sun and watch the game.

I really dig what they are doing with Britomart Country Club. For a pop-up bar it's got great ambiance. The outdoor/indoor flow is pretty darn cool. Though it can get a bit nippy at nights. I like ordering their fragrant cocktails and watch the nicely dressed people chat to each other in this very cool surrounding. 

The only thing there is to dislike about the Britomart Country club is the smoking. It's billed as an outdoor bar but it has walls and a plastic overhead awning yet people are allowed to smoke anywhere in there. Would certainly frequent it more if they cut the smoking out.

Awesome outdoor bar made out of shipping containers - its so much cooler than it sounds, in fact if you didn't look closely you'd never guess. Great live music and big tables so you can get the whole group together. Best mojitos, made in preserving jars with plenty of mint. Has a relatively early closing time due to the apartments nearby and the liquor license conditions.
