The Edge always displays spectacular performances, and Giselle was no different. p.s. the kapati ice creams from the bar are yummy!

was the ice cream really a highlight of the show?

This venue probably has the most comfy seating for a theatre/venue in Auckland.   clean , modern yet small enough to make things intimate and beats Vector on every count!!! More great shows please.....

My daughter was in the JRock show last night so off we went, parking in the nearby Civic made it a breeze.   The venue has improved over the years with a nice cafe/bar area outside but under cover.  I paid for water & ice cream at half time not realising there was free water by one of the doors. Bugger! The seating was good.  Not a ton of leg room though but great view of the stage. It was a freezing night and the theatre was cool but not cold.  In fact ideal. All in all a great night in a great venue.

loved this theatre was small which made the show personal the seats were comfy and the drinks reasonably priced for a theatre, More variety of good shows though please

Nice comfy seatsclose to the action. The person in the bar too

Peroni not person..

Great venue and well worth seeing a live act here, try get seats closer to the front if you can as it can get a bit warm up the top if it’s a packed show. They also have plenty of bars so worth going early for a pre show drink

What a complete hoot. I never thought I’d enjoy a kids comedy hour as much as I did after seeing Jarred Fell, one of New Zealand's top Comedians/Magicians at Aotea Centre in central Auckland. And I'm an adult.  As part of the Pick and Mix programme, Jarrad delighted us with balloon and magic card tricks, he turned a bowl of fire into sweets and had one kid brave enough to step into the mouth of a guillotine (fake of course).  I've never seen one adult able to tame an audience of children the way he did. It was sheer brilliance and funny as. Go The Pick and Mix sessions I say!  Check out the forthcoming events taking place at 11am every Saturday until 27 August 2011.

The Edge has recently been refurbished and is looking better than ever. I’ve attended several cinemas at The Edge and it’s a great venue for conferences. It’s large and spacious and I really appreciate the steepness of the seating. It means that you never have to worry about a tall person sitting in front of you. It’s an engaging and great venue.

The bus leaves from outside my house and stops right outside the Aotea Centre.  Fantastic for catching a show at The Edge or Civic. Used to take the kids to all The Wiggles and Hi-five shows here when they were small, now its tweenie shows they want to see. The Edge is a great venue with excellent signs to direct you where you should be.  Good clean facilities.  Not a lot of bars, cafes or food venues but still great to catch a show.

The Edge it a great place for the variety of entertainment it has an offer and as bonus no parking worries!  Make sure you take advantage of the evening rate and pay on arrival.  The Civic Theatre has to be my favorite and I always get a sense of elegance and romance when ever I go.  Whether is a Musical, Play or Concert all seem to work well in the majestic surroundings The Civic offers.
