This place is a classic sports bar, serving up all the cold poured beersies and hearty pub fare that you could ever want. There's a million screens so no matter which way you look, you'll get a top view of the All Blacks showing the rest of the world what's up come Rugby World Cup time, plus they whip up a pretty decent breakfast!

Word on the street is that this is the only place in Auckland to watch the 2014 World Cup Football matches. All of the big games are live and loud on 10 massive screens and there’s always that quintessential Kiwi accompaniment to a cold beer - a bowl of crispy fries. This where the die-hard sports fans of Auckland go wild. Make sure you wear your colours so you can team up with other fellow supporters.

The BEST place to watch sports in Auckland!!

The Fox is Word Cup Football HQ for 2014. You would be foolish not to watch some games here. I watched Spain beat the Dutch here in 2010. The atmosphere was fantastic. There were a sea of Spanish and Dutch shirts, a great party atmosphere with friendly people. They put on a great breakfast and if you're in the mood you can have a little tipple to celebrate too! Looking forward to some early morning sessions here!

If a Rugby World Cup game is on, you can be sure they are showing it at The Fox. Always an epic atmosphere and open in the wee small hours for those World Cup games at Dawn. Love catching a game at The Fox!

The pastry top was light and flaky, which tasted a treat. Decent sized pieces of beef slowly braised in Speights beer, were very tender, which melted in the mouth. The gravy was very tasty with a few vegetable bits and pieces. A couple of garlic bread rolls were a winner to use to soak up the remainder of the delicious gravy. My only negative comment would be that the salad was a tad dry, so could have done with a bit more dressing, but not a major in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I was very satisfied and would happily order this again.

Recently watched the Pacqiou Vs Marquez fight here on Sunday afternoon. On top of a fun atmposphere, the weather was ace and the punters were up for a good time. Great for the football too!

Sports galore!

Great place to have a casual dinner and drink before heading home. or while catching some live sport on the big screens. Friendly service is always great too.

Thanks for showing the EURO matches! If you ever need to see a sports event, this is the place to go. With screens all over the place, you definitely get a good view. I was quite surprised to see a breakfast menu there. I had checked online before and they only had evening menus (to be downloaded as pdf, which is not very user-friendly).

Thanks for your feedback Juku. We've had a great time showing all the Euro matches, glad you have enjoyed them too! And re brekafast: we have a small breakfast menu available for early morning games, but this menu is not available generally day to day so we dont advertise online with our other menu's. I'll look into how we can make our menu's easier to read online, thank you for your comments. Rgds Justine - The Fox.
