I could easily spend an hour in The Met Shop. There is something to interest everyone, from the budding geologist, to dinosaur fanatic. The semi-precious stones are usually my go-to addition to gifts, for that little something extra! Here is where you will find interesting gifts for kid's birthdays, or even for the youthful adult!

    A great distraction for the kiddie-winkles if you can afford it, because let me tell you you’re not getting out of that place without buying them some glowly swizzle stick. Also I find the stuff Moa deeply unsettling but that’s probs just me.

      I LOVE the Met Shop - from the wacky moa statue outside to all the crazy and fun stock - including sciency items from experiments to telescopes and barometers, a massive selection of plastic animals and rad soft toys and other unusual gift ideas. The mini harmonicas make a great present!

        This is by far the most amazing store in Wellington, it has everything to entertain you on a rainy day and educate you on basic science.
