Proudly serving up organic, fresh and free-range food and top-quality Allpress coffee, The Piha Store is a much-loved Piha icon, run by Pete Chapman. Every morning the machine fires up and the coffee is known as some of the 'best in the west' and Pete's brew is legendary amongst the locals. The store also does excellent baked goods, including organic pies, which are made fresh on-site by a dedicated pie chef. The talented team in the kitchen also create custard cronuts, rich chocolate brownies and coconut and cranberry cookies.
The Piha Store is also a general store in the truest sense of the word, stocking convenience goods for residents, bach-goers and campers staying at the Piha Domain Motor Camp, as well as pre-frozen meals, sausages and cheeses.

Now if you wanna bit of old fshion New Zealand Kai and a wonderful coffee this si the place .Hang out with the surfie types , the local types the chin wagging types at the open bar that over looks the Piha Domain Holiday Park .Oh there is a up market cafe next door with heaters and comfortable chairs etc
When summer comes I like to start my mornings with a freshly baked cheese scone from Pete's clever local bakers at The Piha Store. If you like your cheese scones crispy and crunchy on the outside and chewy, soft and gooey on the inside then The Piha Store's cheese scones are the ones for you. My hubby brings one home every Sunday and it puts a smile on my face every time.
With a dedicated pie chef cranking out soul-warming organic pies, The Piha Store is the place to sink your teeth into a delightful post-surf pie. The gravy is rich, the beef is melt-in-the-mouth miraculous and the pastry is so flaky you need to put the pie bag on your lap to catch the crumbs, if you're eating it in the car at the beach. I'm a local, have known the store owner, Pete, most of my life and am stoked as that some of the best pies in Auckland are just a five minute drive down the hill from home. These beauties often make my Sunday!
Two words: Bro’Nuts! They are the Westie-version of a Cronut and Piha Store makes the best. I pick up one every Sunday after yoga for my hubby because I know the perfect puffs of pastry are the way to his heart. Using organic ingredients to create beautiful baked goods, the bakers also do a tasty traditional donut and great homemade pies. But be in quick over the weekend because the locals arrive early to nab the best and the tastiest.
