The Salvation Army Family Store - Birkenhead

One of my favourite op shops - and not because it is right next door to KFC - the Birkenhead store has a large variety of second-hand goods, clothing and furniture. I can spend hours in this shop, perusing the books and trying on pre-loved clothes. Proceeds go towards community outreach projects the Sallies are well-known for :)

Birkenhead is my favourite Sally store because it is such a big store with such a huge range of everything- furniture, clothes, homeware. It is very easy to find- right on the corner of the main intersection, before the bypass turn and as soon as you drive straight into Birkenhead. Definitely worth checking out. Have bought many cool things from here.

This is a reasonably sized Salvation Army Store situated near the mall.  Its location makes it a good place to pop in when you're doing your grocery shopping!  I found a few good bargains here.  There was a lot to look at.  The lady at the counter was really friendly and helpful too.  We came out with a whole bag full of stuff.
