I'm a big fan of the Sallies on Margan Ave in New Lynn - it's a good size, I always find a gem or two, and they always seem to have a sale on. $4 items storewide? Yes please! They have a great little selection of ceramics that's worth checking out if you're after an easy but unique gift too. AND, someone handed in my Eftpos card the other day when I dropped it, so now I'm even more of a fan!

Not so great for clothes but great for furniture, frames and books. There are many treasure to be found here. Its probably the best around for larger picture frames which can be repainted or stained. You can get a huge frame for real cheap. Also good wood furniture to redo. Friendly and helpful staff as well

I went here for the first time today.  The store is quite large with a big range of stock.  If found some things were rather overpriced (eg $40 for a Levenes jug which cost less than that new or the kids' clothes with lots of stains for $4 an item).  However, if you had a good hunt you could still find a good bargain to take home.  And, best of all, whatever you spend, you know the money is going to a good cause.

This is a huge salvation army- a very large store with a huge selection! you could easily get a lot of stuff to furnish a flat or house from here. It is well set out and becasue the premises is so big you can easily look at everything they have to offer. There is such a range of stuff and it is easy to find some treasures! You just need to keep an eye out on prices as I think there is one guy who works there in partiular who sees lots of things as treasures as prices them as if they are worth their weight in gold!
