For a grand old time with the girls, head to The Tea Lady in Birkenhead. The beautiful vintage-inspired store is filled with all sorts of retro collectables, home-baked goodies and a huge range of teas to choose from. Dress up and make an afternoon of it!

Came here today for brunch to finally check out this lovely tea place. Friend used to work here dn heard only lovely reviews prior. Very cute setting with nice decor, lovely service and huge range of teas. Had a lemonade from the fridge- they have a selection of refrigerated drinks. Parking parallel out front and down the side road & opposite. Worth checking out!

The Tea Lady is utterly divine. It usually takes me 5 or so minutes to pick a tea to have as there are just so many options! I live over in central Auckland and frequently come over to the tea lady to enjoy her amazing tea, quaint gifts and delicious teas. The store is small, intimate and beautifully decorated. If you havent been here for afternoon tea yet then I recommend it. Would be a lovely place to take a wee girl for a high tea.

Cute photo :)

The Tea LAdy is a real litle gem in Birkenhead offering delicious home baked goodies, old English sweet shop treats, and a lovely range of teas. Funky retro decor and all the touches that make an afternoon tea a bit special. Lovely for a rainy afternoon!

The Tea Lady is a gorgeous little tea spot to sip away your worries over a steaming hot pot of loose leaf tea.  Sitting, sipping and taking in the 50's inspired decor I couldn't help but fall in love with the Tea Lady. My favorite had to be the White Juilet which is a Chinese white tea with summer fruits and flowers. Just the smell of this tea is heavenly. All the tea is brought out on a wicker platter and served in beautiful flower tea cups and saucers.  What I enjoyed the most was that everyone walking by man, women, child, dog had to look in and see what all the fuss was about.

Yum yum! Cakes and teas sure to please.
