Thanks so much Shamrock Cottage.  My friend took me to Shamrock Cottage for a Birthday Coffee, The lovely staff saw she had given me a birthday present and with my coffee arrived a beautiful chocolate with Happy Birthday.  What a awesome feeling this place has!!

The food is excellent - homemade and good portion sizes. Great value for money. The outside area is lovely. This quaint piece of Howick history is highly recommended.

I frequently visit Shamrock Cottage due to the delicious array of mouth watering tasty foods they have available.  It is not overpriced and you get great value for money with good portion sizes.  More importantly for me I have a strict "gluten free" diet and find it difficult to find premises that offer gluten free options let alone gluten free foods that taste great.  Shamrock Cottage has not only a large selection of gluten free foods but they are also unbelievably good.  The staff are always friendly and helpful.  The cottage is a historic house that reflects the colonial fencible period.  Plus there is a wonderful outside area, a rare find in cafe's these days, where you can enjoy the fresh air and relax on warm summery days.  I highly recommend this cafe.

Could not have been more pleasantly surprised by this extremely quaint and very 'Howick' cafe. Beautiful little Shamrock cottage is an original little wooden fencible cottage which has been beautifully decked out with shabby-chic cottage style. Sit inside and look out the sash windows or at the range of handicrafts decorating the interior, or grab a spot on the veranda with sea views, wicker chairs and blankets if it's chilly. Gorgeous! Food is spectacular - all made fresh on site to an extremely high standard which I haven't come across in Auckland cafes before. Large range of cabinet food and a menu too. We got Caramel Nut slice, Orange Almond cake and Mango Smoothies and everything was AMAZING... I keep raving to my friends about this place. Will be back! Love it!
