After a few recommendations to dine here I finally found the time to go, and it was simply divine. I'm a sucker for great japanese, and this place pleased me in every way it should: authentic atmosphere, food and service, as well as being comfortably busy. Fast, efficient, delicious and welcoming, definitely a place to go! #shoutme
Appointed in traditional pale timber panelling, the interior is pleasantly sparse, with a cosy and intimate feel. The refined elegance of the Japanese aesthetic is evident everywhere, from the unobtrusively attentive and faultlessly polite service, to the ephemeral beauty of the individually presented dishes. Having opened its doors in late December 2012, this little venture has joined the growing handful of impressive Japanese restaurants in town. The emphasis here is very much on the traditional Japanese dining experience, so Tomi doesn’t offer a takeaway service.
