    Great food, friendly staff and great wine. Plus you have to have the desert.

      I knew it well back in the1970's, its a great place to eat and drink with delicious food

        One of the best places in city for a quick bit, a drink after work or dinner to impress your other half. Ask for the seafood platter. Share for two or have it on your own.

          The service and the atmosphere were good.  And the offer was decent value for money.

            We had "The Localist" a great deal which came with a nice glass of Merlot! The staff were all very friendly and the timing was great.

              no wonder it is still around as Auckland's oldest restaurant

                Went here for lunch today, not a place I would normally ever go to. I went as a result of the $20 Localist deal, which was great value and a perfect sized steak for lunch. I enjoyed this experience so much I will definitely return to Tony's again!

                  We just had the Localist special deal 20 bucks for a steak, salad, fries plus a beer. Awesome value and a good sized steak. Certainly recommend it.

                    We just had 'The Localist' at Tony's - Beautifully done rump steak with sides and wine. The staff were friendly and efficient and the place has an amazing atmosphere. The old, historical feel to the establishment really does enhance the overall experience. We'll definitely come back here in the near future for another steak.
