Annette and Matiu of Truffiere Croix Du Sud have 'fallen in love with truffles' are proud to be growing the highly sought after black gems in their beautiful Bay of Plenty property. They supply their Black Perigord Winter truffles to high end restaurants throughout the country including Ben Bayly from The Grove, Auckland. Although they have plans to train a kunekune pig to sniff out the little delicacies, Annette, Matiu and his parents currently uncover the elusive truffles themselves. Truffles may not be much to look at but these 'diamonds of the kitchen' are highly prized in cuisine throughout the world. Featured in Dish magazine and on TV's 'Hunger for the Wild' cooking show and on TVNZ 'Good Morning Show' with Ben Bayly cooking his Pinot & Duck Ravioli.
