In August 2010, the Pah Homestead became the home of the James Wallace Arts Trust’s Collection, and the TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre. Exhibitions from the Collection and guest exhibitions rotate frequently. Entry is by donation.

A great supporter of the Arts

    Great location to enjoy great art #Darkhorse

      Art gallery in a historic building. Great setting. Having coffee on the verandah from the cafe there after viewing the exhibition is a nice way to spend a few hours

        Sculptures at Wallace Arts Centre

          This place is great to come to see some good NZ art. There is also a cafe on location that serves good coffee and yummy treats. The gardens surrounding the homestead are also worth a wander through.

            I was stunned at the size of the place as we came up the drive, I was expecting a smaller villa type house but it is a gorgeous house with a lovely collection of Art - and a wonderful place to come for a coffe and a cake. The volunteer staff are very helpful and if I lived closer I would certainly come more often as the exhibitions change out regularly. The Sculptures in the garden are a great way to spend some time wondering around outside too.

              I came for the beautiful heritage building but it's also an incredible spot for a bite to eat on the veranda with the incredible view, and of course the art is impressive. It's contemporary art so definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but it's worth heading out there if the weather's good. A cool spot, great art, amazing building, amazing views! A very 'Auckland' experience for out-of-towners too, and it's free! How did I only mention that now? It's free.

                  Stunning inner city surroundings and truly stunning food at the cafe too. When you sit out on the verandah you do feel a little bit posh!

                    Wow, Wow, Wow. Amazing setting, coolest contemporary Art gallery, great cafe. Pah homestead is a hidden oasis! Fabulous during the summer- when you sit on the verandah you feel like you have been transported to another era. I love this place. Reminds me we must go there soon:)
