Whether you're after a relaxing day wandering the beach and sunbathing, or on a quest to find fossils and secret tunnels in the cliff wall, Tunnel Beach has something to occupy everybody's time.
The main attraction of this place is the hand-carved tunnel, made by the pioneers, with a walkway through the middle to a secluded bay. The Tunnel Beach Walkway is an easy one hour return walk - although there's a bit of a climb involved.
As well as the incredible scenery, there are tiny, ancient secrets hidden in the tunnel and cliff walls. Careful examination will reveal shell fragments and possibly a fossil, or even bones of an extinct whale if you're lucky.
