To be honest I was expecting a bit more from this place. I love turkish food and they delivered well but it wasn't overly amazing, more so average. The service was fast and they had good portion size. I liked the booth layout. It was good to go and try it as Ive driven past a million times but Im not in too big of a hurry to go back.
My husband and I came here to fulfill a craving for Turkish food, and weren't disappointed. The servings were huge, far too big for either of us to get through, and they have an impressive range. Their meals come with lots of little sides, which is one of my favourite things about this kind of meal, with pitas, hummus, dips, salad, tabouleh etc. Most of the meals are around the $25 mark.
We came here as a large group and the food wasn't the fastest but what do you expect with 14 meals to make. The hummus is delicious and so are their breads. The lamb kebab meat is cooked to perfection. It was fun sampling everyone's different dishes. The rustic wooden benches and tables are fantastic. All in all a great place to eat Turkish in Ponsonby. Prices are around the $20 to mid $20 range if I recall correctly.
