Compared to other local sushi joints, this is one of the better places. They're sushi tastes very fresh as if it were just made rather than hours earlier. Their salmon sushi has decent sized pieces of meat and vegetables in them but are slightly thinner compared to other sushi portions. They provide servings of the regular sushi condiments one would expect - soy sauce, ginger and wasabi and have a wide selection to choose from including tempura and sashimi.
I haven’t been to any of the other Victoria Sushi places but I can see why they’re rated highly – really nice selection (sushi, sashimi and more), and friendly staff. The selection was a little depleted and it was only just on lunchtime, so I guess that means they’re pretty popular. One customer was after more salmon sushi so they brought out a platter that had only just been made. I grabbed a couple of pieces and apparently it was divine – fresh and melt in your mouth. It’s more of a takeout place. There are seats and tables, but it’s all in one area with the counter and next to the testing station and service station, so not really somewhere for a leisurely sit down.
This place is another favourite with the staff at Focus. It's close to us but far enough away to be a nice break from the office at lunch. The sushi always looks fresh and appetising and the hot meals are great value for money, not to mention delicious! Try the teriyaki chicken, it is really good! The staff here are so friendly, and though it's a quaint and unassuming little place, it's still a nice place to enjoy lunch or grab some sushi on the go - and there is always parking by the AA.
