Garry Moore has been a baker since he was 15 and is the owner of Village Bakery owner in Tawa. His customers not only come for the freshly baked goodies, but also the comfortable cafe.

The Village Bakery serves up top quality food such as pies, shortbread, cakes, sweet treats and sandwiches. All washed down with some Emporio coffee.

The Village Bakery in Tawa has even come out on top in the Kapi-Mana News taste quest to find the best mince pie in town. Their mince pie is rich in flavour and has the perfect level of gravy.

When the head is hurting a little more than I hoped it would after a night out in Wellington I head to the Village Bakery. Their pastries and pies are the perfect fillers to quickly get me prepped for the day. So much better than a 2 day old petrol station pie.

    Very friendly and helpful staff the guy there can make an awesome coffee try it out :)
