I know that when I’m indulging in sushi, my waistline is going to absolutely love me for it. Wabi Sabi Sushi in Taupo does some amazing avocado and salmon sushi rolls. The beautiful flavours hit the right healthy craving spot - I just need to be careful not too eat too many!

I always used to think Japandese was all sushi rolls, tempura batter and seaweed salad, so it wasn't usually my first takeaway pick when it came to winter. Until I met chicken katsu curry. Yummy golden coated pieces of chicken in a delicious light curry sauce on top of some rice - Wabi Sabi sushi's katsu chicken delivers the goods and is a great lunch or dinner takeaway option.

Sushi is as healthy as healthy takeaways get…unless you’re going for the deep-fried stuff. Try Wabi Sabi Sushi’s green seaweed salad with chilli, and their tuna sushi rolls and that’s a pretty winning, and healthy, light lunch combo.

Their miso soup is yum yum yum. Great for a winter day, and super healthy too. A great way to wash down a few susuhi rolls, and a good on-the-go lunch during the working week.

Great Japanese food!

I pop in all the time for Sushi, Gyoza and a Chicken Bento box. Always great!

If you are a miso soup fan then Wabi Sabi has the best in Taupo!
